So here I am attempting to blog again for the 4,000th time. Okay, maybe that number is exaggerated a little, but it feels like the true number is somewhere up there. This is going to be my own little slice of the internet where I share things about my family (I have one cute little boy you'll get to know), my DIY & craft projects, and some photography if I ever decide to break out my DSLR again.
A little about me: My name's Lisa. I have a wonderful husband (Jordan) who serves in the US Coast Guard, a ridiculously adorable little boy named Landon and four pets (3 cats & a dog). Our house is pretty much a zoo that always has one project or another lying around. Currently I am refinishing our kitchen table and chairs.. so our kitchen is filled with completed and half-finished chairs and perhaps a few cans of paint lying around. ;) I much prefer refinishing and up-cycling furniture instead of buying new. What's the fun in having something that a zillion other people have?? I also love doing craft projects and have completed a few baby mobiles for some of my very awesome mama friends. We just rent our home in Maryland right now, but I absolutely cannot wait until we can purchase a home and make it entirely our own! Maybe someday in the near future. :) I stay-at-home with our son right now and attend school online. I'm working towards a degree in health informatics, although I would much rather be a professional DIY-er. A girl can dream, right?
